Mixed Media Beach Layout

Good morning!
I am back to share another layout I created using the Wayfarer kit!
I love creating beach layouts - probably because thats one of my favorite places to be!

When I saw this piece of paper - Pacific Coast - from Blue Fern Studios in the kit - my mouth dropped!  It is gorgeous!  I really wanted to create a layout that sis it justice!
I chose an older photo of Cody that matched so beautifully with the elements

I did some mixed media work with s stencil, sand medium and Lindys Stamp Gang mist and Brusho turquoise powder.  I sprayed some cheese cloth with the mists too, added some prills from previous kits and some Prima Art pebbles also from a previous kit and shells from my stash!

The Prima Resin Frame is beautiful!   To add to its beauty I misted it, added the brusho powder color, and prills!  The title piece I found in the Prima Traveler's Journal Ephemera & Stickers from the main kit...I wrinkled it and added some ink and the same brusho color.

Sandy Toes.....

Good morning!
I love spending time at the beach - and taking photos!
I decided to use the 49 and Market papers from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit along with some awesome chippies from Creative Embellishments!

I took this photo of Tyler's feet last summer and when I saw the title chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments it was perfect!

I used dimensional paints on the title piece - I wanted the shine....

I love the fishnet panel - it was perfect for my photo mat..I also used the dimensional paint on it

I created a couple of clusters....I stuck some 49 and Market 3D embellishments among some wonderful Creative Embellishments chippies!  I painted the Seaweed with Prima paint in 3 different colors and the Seashells

Layered Family layout using the Wayfarer Kit

Hi everyone!
I am so in love with this kit!!!!
I love the colors of it!  Perfect for almost any subject!
But one thing I love t o to is layer my papers when I create and this kit was full of papers that are perfect for that!  Perfect for this awesome photo my niece took of my hubby and our boys!

I started by layering all the wonderful Blue Fern papers and to add more texture I added the burlap piece from the main kit!

I created a cluster using flowers from the floral add on, previous kits and my stash.  I also added the sweet fern pieces....

For the title piece and fern pieces - from Blue Fern studios - I took brown and blue distressed stain from previous kits and when they mixed they created the green color you see!

I added a few butterflies from a previous kit!

Here you can see all the layers!

It's Love....

My hubby and I just celebrated our 18th wedding Anniversary...
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful and loving man in my life!
We are both very passionate people and I wanted to create a layout that conveys that....

I started with mostly the black and cream papers from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe and because I wanted to add drama and passion I decided to use some shades of red

For the Steampunk Heart with wings I sprayed with Dylusions Black Marble mist, Tattered Angels Barn Red and Heidi Swapp Sweet Cherry.

I then took my Ranger Perfect Medium Pen and used it on spots of the heart. To keep the distressed look I did not make it perfect.  I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders

On the tips of the wings I added some black crushed glitter glass (the same I used some of the flowers)

I also embossed the word "LOVE" on the key that comes with the steampunk heart and added some red glitter to it.

In my flower cluster I added some embossed gears to keep with the steampunk design.

I LOVE this piece of chipboard!
the Grunge Heart corner piece is really cool!  I spayed it with the same mists as I did with the heart with wings then added the black crushed glitter glass to the arrow and added a few embossed gears.

Journey....

Hi everyone!
I do not create very many layouts about me but I really do believe it is important that we as the memory keepers (scrapbookers) include ourselves in  our creations!
So here is....me....

Last fall my talented niece captured this photo....I like it!

So using the absolutely awesome Scraps of Darkness 'Wayfayer' kit which has these beautiful 'Wanderlust' papers from  Blue Fern Studios I created this layout about me!

I started by layering these wonderful papers and distressing all the edges....

I created the title using one of the calling cards and adding some letter stickers

I added a chipboard and a couple of strips of paper and one of the beautiful Blue Fern flowers and a few gems from a previous kit

To accent the photo I used 3 of the wanderlust flowers and coordinating chipboard!

Puppy Love - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
We have two wonderful fur babies - Lydia (red) and Axle (black).  They are now a little over a year old but in this photo it is the day we got them.

They were so little - they are now each 75lbs!

for the title pice - Puppy Love Word set - I used three colors of paint for a more ombre look.

On the flourish set 12 I randomly painted the same colors as on the title piece and added some glitter!

I also glittered  a few pieces from the Dog Gone Cute set and added them into my cluster including flowers and Puppy Love Flair.

I love that little fire hydrant - so cute!

Beach fun with 49 & Market - June Seaside kit!

Hi everyone!
I am excited to share my final layout using the awesome Seaside Kit from Scraps Of Darkness!

I am so infatuated with the Sand & Sea Collection that was in the Seaside kit!  The papers are stunning and I really adore those 3d embellishments!

This photo is one of my favorites!!!!  I really wanted it to be the focal point of this layout so I designed it so all the elements worked to make the photo the centerpiece.

I started by using a layer of clear gesso on the papers to protect fro the mixed media work.  I then used a Crafters Workshop stencil from my stash with some texture paste.  I added some embossing powder from a previous kit, then misted with various mists from previous kits also.
The Blue Fern chipboard from a previous kit I painted with the Unicorns hair paint from the color add on.

The title is actually the packaging from the 49 & Market 3D embellishment package.  I just cut it out because it matched so well!

I also created a clustering on the top using flowers from this kit, floral add on and previous kits and the 3D embellishments as well as Prima Resin pieces from the elements add on.

I wanted to keep this awesome photo the focal point so I created a cluster of elements that really makes your eye be drawn to the photo...I used lots of flowers from this kit, floral add on and previous kits, the Blue Fern chipboard anchor from the elements add on (that I also painted with the Unicorns Hair paint from the color add on), resin pieces from the elements add on, cheese cloth, and the 49 & Market 3D embellishments!
