Halloween at Christmas?

Well yes!
I am working with the Scraps of Darkness Halloween kit!

This is our oldest a few years ago - I added a few pieces of Authentique paper from last years kit

For the Blue Fern Chipboard I embossed in black tinsel to add some spookiness!

This is our youngest the same year!
This time I used the Pink Paislee papers!

I love all the fun embellishments from the kit and add ons!
The title is from Tim Holtz!

Christmas Advent Calender - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I love Christmas - I really love making people gifts!
I made this super cute Kaisercraft advent calender for my great niece !

I painted it white then decorated each box

I had so much fun decorating this!
For the Santas Helpers I embossed in black because you are not suppose to see them - they are helping the big man!

For the Flourish Tree I embossed with green tinsel then added the super cute Santa Helper.  I also used the tinsel on the Merry Christmas

I embossed two different size snowflakes for the inside of the calender I used these and embossed in white.

I embossed the Santas stop here sign and added large snowflakes embossed in white and Christmas Picks and a large bow to set it off!

I hope she likes it!

Christmas Cards - Creative Embellishments!

I love making Christmas cards!
Puts me in the festive mood!
Every year my mom comes over and we make cards for a few days - all different!

This is the first one using Creative Embellishments wonderful new 'Merry Christmas' titles and  poinsettia set
Both chipboard pieces are the perfect size for cards!

I embossed the Merry Christmas with Lindys red embossing powder.  I also embossed the poinsettia, leaves and twig and added glitter to the berries!

I LOVE the snowflake frame!   I embossed it in white and added a couple of pearls to the centers!
The Silent night I embossed in silver is from the Christmas Sentiments set!
The poinsettias I made from the Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia die

Christmas Mantle Clock - Creative Embellishments

During the summer I found this beautiful old and broken mantle clock - it had no insides but I loved the shape and I knew I wanted to do something fun and festive with it!
I did not take a before photo o sorry my bad....

I started off with a few coats of gesso then added some texture paste - a couple of times until I was happy because snow is not flat and I wanted it to be snowy and festive and cheery! I finally added some large flake glitter and the base was done

My son Tyler painted the clock face for me with chrome paint and I embossed the clock hands with red embossing powder and my hubby assembled them for me

I used the words from the Christmas Countdown and also embossed them in red.

I embossed the Santa Stop here sign and glued it to the one side...then went crazy with the picks from the dollar store and walmart.....

I painted and embossed the Santa and Sleigh 2 in black....I was not sure how I was going to make them look like they are flying and still have them  sturdy....my hubby cuts up an old wire hanger and bends the end and has our son Tyler countersink some screw to hold the wire...smart guy I married!

To cover the screws I used a poinsettia and leaves from a dollar store pick.

On the inside I added some carolers and a tree and wrapped the tree in Creative Embellishment tiny lights!

For some reason it is showing the light as yellow but in real life it shines red!

I will be displaying this piece as a center piece on my dining room table!

Boys can be Angels too - Creative Embellishments

Good Morning!

I was looking through some older photos when I cam across this photo of Ty!   He looks so sweet in it!
I knew I wanted to create a layout about Ty's loving side so...

I used some paper from a left over Scraps Of Darkness kit - Simple Stories Beautiful Line!

For the Infinite Circle Frame I embossed with vintage gold embossing powder then rubbed a bit of black ink

I love these Wings!  I painted them white, added some of the gold embossing powder then a bit of the black ink

This adorable title - Boys Can Be Angels Too - is perfect for the photo!
I embossed with some vintage embossing powder.

Laughter....Creative Embellishments!

Good morning!
My husband and I love to laugh...he is always doing something to make me smile or laugh....I think he may just be a little nuts and I love him for it!

The Creative Embellishments title 'Make her laugh and you will have her heart' is perfect for the photo my lovely niece Jill took last year.
The beautiful Prima papers and lace were from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit....

For the title and Heart String Border I painted them with grey and pink pant then rubbed a bit of copper to accent.

I sprayed the doily with grey mists

I treated the Arrow Frame with Hearts the same way I did the title and border
