My First 3 layouts from MY KIT!

This months Scraps Of Darkness kit is named after me!!!

Its called 'Laura's Wish'

Here a few  layouts I have made using this awesome kit!

'The Man, The Myth, The Legend'

This is my amazing hubby and a fun photo from a photo shoot we did a couple of years ago!
I created this one using the Kaiser Craft Antique Bazaar papers that were in the kit

Lots of layers!  I added the Copper Jacquard Lumiere Light Body Acrylic Paint to the altered blue fern chipboard and the corrugated cardboard

When I saw the title pieces I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use!!!

more of the altered chipboard and I added a few metal gears from a previous kit

Next up is a layout about my fabulous boys!

'Learn from Yesterday....'

This was a fun layout....

I altered a few flowers with the black marble mist from the color add on

I stuck some of die cuts around too!

I added the Tainted Love Teal Magicals Pigment Powder to some molding paste and used the
Screen Print stencil from the kit.
The title die cut was originally off white so it did not go with my layout - I simply misted it with red distress stain from a previous kit!

I added the Prima Timeless Memories Collection Say It In Crystals to a tear at the top!

Finally I want to share a beachy fun layout using the Authentique's Durable Collection!

Our boys LOVE the beach - always have!

I did a few clusters using the flowers from the kit and the floral add on

I also added a few of the Prima crystals - they remind me of fish scales and thought they went perfect with this beach layout!

My new project with Leaky Shed and a challenge!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday....it's supposed to rain here all day so it will be a good day to scrap!

Today I am sharing a layout I did for Leaky Shed Studios
I decided it was time to go through my stash and use some of it up....so I found these papers
from Glitz designs that I really love that had been sitting for a while...some flowers I had and doilies.
Then I added some new Leaky Shed Studios chipboard!

'Time Spent With Family'

I love this photo of my family

I cut the Large Medallion into two pieces!  perfect for the corners!

I also used the Moroccan Border!
To alter the Leaky Shed Chipboard I sprayed with Dylusions postbox red and black marble sprays then added a little bit of ranger distress stickles!

I also altered my flowers because although I was challenging myself to use some of my stash and they were from my stash and the perfect size - the color did not match!

So here is my challenge to you!
I want you to create a project using stuff from your stash and some Leaky Shed Studios chipboard and Leaky Shed Studio will send out a prize!
Just post a link to your blog post of your project using your stash stuff and leaky shed studios chipboard in the comments section before May 21st and I will draw a winner
This is also on the Leaky Shed blog!!!
AND if you want to earn an extra entry - share your project on our facebook page!!!
The winner will be announced on the Leaky Shed Studio Facebook Page and the winner has 14 days to claim their prize!

Thanks for stopping by!

More from Scraps Of Darkness!!!

Good Tuesday Morning!

Today I am sharing a few more layouts from the Scraps Of Darkness
Michelle's Mechanical Madness kit!

'Love Those Eyes'

Our youngest has the most amazing blue eyes - just like his dad!

I used some gesso on the flowers and elements including the chipboard and Prima Metal trinkets and alphas

I love the kit and add on flowers!  I added some from a previous kits and made the blue ones!

I sprayed the blue fern chipboard and added some gesso!

Lots of dimension!

Next up is simple but I think dramatic layout

'In These Moments Time Stood Still'

I love this photo of our oldest (I think I say that a lot lol)

I used the Kaisercraft papers

I sprayed the flowers with mists to pick up the turquoise from the water!

just a little cluster!

'If only you Knew.....'

another layout I wanted to highlight the photo!

I cut the title from the paper!

I used a piece of Leaky Shed chipboard that I painted and misted!

Our 1970 Catalina

Good morning everyone!

Today I am sharing a layout about our 1970 Pontiac Catalina that I created
using the Scraps Of Darkness 'Michelle's Mechanical Madness' kit

We love this car and the kit was perfect for a masculine layout!
I used the Melissa Francis glamour & grunge papers

I sued some gears from Blue Fern from previous months kits, and the mica I split into thinner pieces than die cut into the gear shape, and inked!

The chain frame is from my stash

Here you can see the layers of torn paper, and the bits of mist from the color add on!

More gears and mica!
