Flourish With A Bling and Stuck On U Sketches!

I think this weeks sketch from Stuck On U Sketches is my all time favorite so far
and I got to use some awesome products from Flourish with a bling!

One of my new favorite color combos is red and turquoise!  I find the colors very striking!

I had this piece of chipboard laying in my chipboard drawer and thought it would be perfect for my title!  I sprayed it with mists then inked it with Ingvild Bolme ink from last months SOD kit
I also sprayed some cheesecloth with mists and tucked pieces under the photo and under the title!

I must say I am inspired by one of my favorite scrappers - Sandi Smith. A friend and a teammate on Scraps of Darkness/Elegance who inspired me to use my ink bottles!  She uses alcohol inks but I did not have any so I used my red reinker!

I used Flourish with a Bling's laser “Jasmine” flourish in teal and the
"Chloe" Pearl Flourish in red

I cut the flourishes and kept the tail pieces to use in the other corner

I also inked the flowers a bit so they were more 'messy'

He Stole My Heart

Hi everyone!

i wanted to share a layout I created for Flourish With A Bling!
Our youngest is so photogenic its crazy....

I added lots of texture to this layout with molding paste, sprays and burlap and of course the fabulous
It was the perfect element for this layout but I toned down the color just a bit with some brown ink.  I also cut it so that I could separate the pieces!

I also randomly added FWAB Adhesive Pearls 100 Pack in Chocolate to add more dimension!

Welcome to the Sketch it Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to a cross promo blog hop from Stuck on U Sketches
and Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance Design Teams!

February 14-16
midnight to midnight

We've all created layouts based off our February 14th sketch
and the Scraps of Darkness teams have created theirs with the awesome kits from their shop!

As you know Scraps of Darkness is our sponsor for this month's
blog candy and we are so appreciative of them!
So don't forget to join any challenge here at SOUS this month
for a chance to win that candy!

We are offering candy for this hop as well for hop participants!
A collection of Basic Grey paper and embellishments!
Blog candy winner will be announced Friday, February 21.

(sorry, North America only)

Here is my creation....

I used The Style & Sophistication kit!

I added some gesso to the chalkboard flower from the kit

I mixed some molding paste with some twinkling H20's and a stencil from a previous kit!

In this months kit is this awesome new product Tsukineko: Imagine Crafts Vertigo Translucent Patterned Sheet!  I ran it through my embosser and inked and sprayed it with mists, then I used my gesso on the edges!  I also gessoed my handmade flower edges.

I also cut the vertigo in the shape of hearts

The hearts I used a stencil from a previous kit and some molding paste, sprayed with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mist - Midnight Rendezvous Raven from the color add on, then dry brushed with gesso!

Scraps Of Darkness Stye & Sophistication reveal!

This months kit rocked!

It was so much fun to work with!

Here is what I created....

This first one I created using the fabulous sketch from Suepup!
and the awesome photo from Breaultography - thanks Jill

I used the  Ingvild Bolme Chalk Fluid Edger - Teal Damask (from the kit) on the beautiful flowers from the floral add on as well as some gesso, die cut some leaves (also added gesso) and added some cheesecloth for texture.

here is the sketch

My second project I used one of my favorite photos of our oldest son and I!

I did a lot of layers!
I also sprayed the doily with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mist - Red Hot Poker Orange
from the color add on!

I tied the gorgeous ribbon from the embellishment add on into a bow and added it o my flower cluster!

The beautiful Cousin - Gunmetal Teardrop Charms were the perfect accent to the fabulous to the
Midwest Design - Touch of Nature Peacock Feather.

I inked each flower and the Kaisercraft: Wood Flourishes - Bottles with the
Prima: Ingvild Bolme Chalk Fluid Edger - Rusty Bucket all from the kit
