Fall is in the air

I love fall....warm apple cider and apple pies and jumping in the leaves....cool nights and mild days! The colors are beautiful, the reds, golds and browns create a mosaic of color that I hope to capture in my upcoming photographs. The sights sounds and smells of fall make it my favorite time of year

There are many reasons besides the already stated why fall is my favorite...the most obvious one is my birthday is in the fall...actually it was yesterday! I had a nice day. We had to take Sally to the Human society for some blood work to make sure she is healthy before we finalize the adoption so my parents and I spent the day in Windsor. We shopped at Micheals where I bought a few things for an upcoming class, then they took me out for lunch at Swiss Chalet, then to Costco where I bought some photo paper. Came home, Jon surprised me by making it home, had a light supper, watched some TV and went to bed! I did receive some rockin' presents too! Last weekend was an expo in Sarnia and my hubby gave me moolah to go shopping on some scrappy stuff!!!! My friend Ally (Circleguru on the boards) bought me a new acrylic block, a couple of HS stamps and some BG Christmas chipboard! My mom & dad also gave me money at the expo and bouht a really cool scrapbooking cart. heres a photo of it, but mine is black & grey not hot pink

I also love the local fair here....its in the small town of Brigden and my brother and sister and law took the kids & I to the fair last year! They love Candy apples!

The boys loved to go the rides....

And what fun is a fair without games?

Have a fantastic day!

Meet Sally

She is a 6 year old red doberman we got from the Windsor OSPCA. She is gentle and sweet and is great with the boys. I know some people are leery of dobermans but she has been wonderful. It is hard for animal shelters to place older dogs as most people want puppies....next time you are thinking of getting a dog why not think of an older dog that really could use some love!

labor day and back to school!

WOW! This summer has flown by...Labor Day is here already!

We spent Friday and Saturday lounging around...Jon helped our Neighbor roof and Tyler ran around down there...I did some scrapbooking and worked on a few challenges. Sunday was a nice day and the kids decided to get dirty and play in the mud....Boys will be boys and I never worry about them getting dirty. I hose them down then put them in the shower. I don't care about dirty clothes either. Kids are wash and wear...I figure if they are getting dirty then they are probably having a ball!

Here are some pics of the boys playing in the mud

School has started too! My boys are growing up to fast. Its like I blink and wow they are already in grade 1 and 2! I cried...I must admit I did cry. I love having my boys around! They brighten up my day and keep me busy! This is Tylers first year of going ALL day EVERY day. He likes it but he says he misses me. He's so little and its hard to believe he is old enough to go. He was born on the 22nd of December so he barely made the cut off date which means he will struggle to keep up to the other kids. Cody goes through the same thing as he was born in the middle of November and it took him a little longer to catch onto things. I worry that they will fall behind!

Here are some back to school pics

Here they are posing for mommy at home!

And being silly!

And here they are in line with their new teachers....(I blurred out the other kids faces as I don't have their parents permission to post their pictures)

Speaking of School!...Scrapbook Dreamers September Contest is all about school! Check it out!
There are also some great challenges going on...the blog challenges, Use your stash challenges, photography challenges, and quote challenges.
